Why use Jessner Peels?
1. Jessner Peel is predictable and makes it difficult to over peel and/or create too deep a wound.
Good choice for aesthetic professionals who are wanting to graduate from AHA peels.
2. Creates a uniform peel and exceptional peeling action.
3. Used on the neck and chest to minimize the transition from deeper peels on the face(TCA Peels).
4. Can be used on Fitzpatrick Skin Types I-III
5. Superficial lines, epidermal hyperpigmentation, photo-damage, active inflammatory acne

Suggested Protocols:
1. Jessner Peel Application
A. Cleanse and degrease skin( use Chemical Peel Prep Solution).
B. Shake Jessner Peel bottle well before use.
C. Apply Jessner Peel ( in coats/layers) until skin produces the desired visual end point.
D. Jessner Peel is applied based on the desired degree of depth & peeling, called end points.
E. End points come on slowly and gradually.
It is mandatory to wait approx. 3-4 minutes between application of coats.
2. Visual End Points of the skin are:
- faint erythema( an even light pink appearance)-very light flaking/exfoliation of stratum corneum
- erythema( an even rosy appearance)- exfoliation of stratum corneum
- erythema( an even red/light sunburn appearance)-visible peeling of stratum corneum/epidermis
- erythema( an even deep red/sunburn appearance)-visible/sheet peeling of stratum corneum/epidermis
- Coats/layers are applied until the desired end point is observed.
- Do not neutralize and do not rinse.
2. Combination Peel : Jessner and TCA Peel:
A. Cleanse and degrease skin( use Chemical Peel Prep Solution).
B. Shake Jessner Peel bottle well before use.
Apply Jessner Peel until skin produces an even faint erythema.
Do not neutralize and do not rinse.
C. Shake TCA Peel bottle well before use.
Apply TCA Peel until desired end point( called frosting).
End points come on slowly and gradually.
It is mandatory to wait approx. 3-4 minutes between application of coats.
End points( degree of frosting) are: translucent white with visible pink skin; faint even white;
medium even white; opaque/solid even white.
D. Do not neutralize and do not rinse.
Did You Know?
Jessner Peel, Modified Jessner Peel, and TCA Peels are applied in coats or layers until the desired end point is reached. There are no set number of coats or layers, but rather visual end points that must be looked for. Failure to reach the desired end point, will not produce the best result.
Many skincare therapists are told how many coats to use with a particular peel and do not get the results that they were expecting. One of the major reasons is that they did not know about end points. One needs to apply as many coats as needed to reach the desired end point. One person's skin may reach an end-point of pink in 2 coats, while another person's skin reaches end-point of pink in 6 coats. End points come on slowly and gradually. It is mandatory to wait approx. 3-4 minutes between each application of coat(layer).
Each skin will respond differently and may require more coats and/or a higher concentration(%) of the peel.
